good day bad day

well it started out as a good day. i refinanced a loan that made my payment less each month. that was good and i got $100 cash for doing it.

then i found out that my friend phyllis got bad news about her cancer. she had breast cancer a few years ago and it came back in her spine. now it has moved to her knees, ribs, hips, and ankles. she found out today and they started chemo again today. that is not good.

i grew up two doors down from phyllis and her family. she is the mom of the family and she and my mom were best friends. my family moved away one by one and and i lost touch with the neighborhood. my mom was the last one to leave and she kept in touch with some folks. but when my mom died i didn't have any contact with anyone still living there. i did keep up with a couple of other ladies that my mom was great friends with. one of them told me about phyllis having the cancer return. so i got in touch with phyllis' youngest daughter lisa. now i am keeping up with them and glad i am. i miss our old neighborhood. at least the people from the old block. flamingo lane was the best.

please keep phyllis and jack day in your prayers, as well as their whole family.
